Christmas of 1994 came and passed with anticipation and a little disappointment. I was convinced we would have a Christmas baby. By the 26th I was sure I would stay pregnant FOREVER! Why do the last few weeks of pregnancy feel like an eternity? Then, on the 27th I was awakened very early thinking my waterbed had sprung a leak. Of course it didn't take long to realize we would be getting our little Christmas gift, finally. I told my husband my water had broken. He responded with, "Light the hot water heater." Our little house was in need of a few repairs! He was half asleep and denies saying this to his wife who was in labor! (but he did!) We gathered our things and headed to the hospital. Today was the last day of an eight week volleyball camp. Aubree attended each week for an hour long class. They were the "Tween Titans". She had a great time and made some new friends. Her coach was awesome and we look forward to working with her in the future. We may have found a new sport for Aubree. Today for their final class they showed off all the new skills they learned. Afterwards we enjoyed a reception with punch and cookies. The girls were also invited to attend the volleyball banquet in November. Good times.

Today we worked on and completed four quilt squares. They will be mailed to another homeschooling mom who will then have them put together and quilted. These quilts (four of them) will be gifts for a grieving family. They recently lost their two year old in a horrible accident. We moms, who frequent a homeschool message board wanted to do something to comfort them. My girls helped by embroidering on "their" quilt squares. I will hopefully post pictures later of our completed project.
