FOUR DAYS AND COUNTING...

My wonderful husband and I will be taking a belated anniversary trip in just four days. I can't wait. This trip will mark alot of firsts for us. This is the first time I have ever flown on an airplane. This is the first vacation we have ever had without children for more than two days. This is the first time either of us has ever been to a truly tropical/Carribean location. There are probably some more "firsts", but I can't think of them now, or they aren't gonna be mentioned here! I love you honey, and can't wait to go on our dream vacation together!

New Season -- New Schedule

Now that we have basketball season wrapped up for the year we will be heading into a new shedule. I love spring. It is my absolute favorite time of year. I look forward to green grass and flowers blooming. I also look forward to being outdoors. Aubree has started soccer. I am loving her team this year. They take alot of time with the kids teaching them. She is learning alot. I also enjoy the fact that I have some new walking buddies. I have been to laid back in my approach to exercise and these ladies can keep me accountable. I now have to opportunity to walk three times a week while at soccer practice. We also will be starting a new homeschool schedule. We really had to schedule around activities and it should be the other way around! We are getting back on track. We will continue through the summer with light studies. I will keep lessons brief this summer. I know the pool will be "calling their names". Last (but not least), we will be doing lots of spring cleaning, cooking,...

Home Sweet Home

We are back! Missouri was great. This was my first trip to Branson. It was beautiful. We only spent one day in Branson but it was a full day. We managed to go to The Butterfly Palace, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and the Shanghai Circus. We all loved the Chinese acrobrats. They were awesome. We spent the first week of our trip in Springfield. Our daughters competed in the National Homeschool Basketball Championships. They placed 2nd in the 5A division. Kaitlyn also received an All American award. We look forward to next year and have plans to see lots shows in Branson next time. I will post pictures later of our trip. It was great to "get away" for a week, but it sure is nice to be home.

Randomness

The newest crochet blanket is coming along nicely. I ran out of black yarn and I need to buy some cute little buttons to finish it. I plan to do that tomorrow. We are working hard today preparing for our spring break trip. We will be headed to Missouri early next week for the National Homeschool Basketball Championships. We are looking forward to taking a road trip. The break is always nice. We are getting the house cleaned so our return home will be nice also. I will try to post pictures later of the blanket in progress. For now I will post some pictures of how Aubree spent her morning. She loves crafts and I found this project this morning for a yarn bowl.

In the next few days (hopefully) this will become a sweet little girly blanket with a little bit of punk rock twist.
